RealEstateAgent.com is just another poorly-organized agent directory site that is a waste of money. If you did the foolhardy, "should've-known-better-than-to-sign-up" thing for the cheap price of $35/3 months (with an individual website!), sure to cancel the promotional membership before automatic renewal; otherwise you are out $70 for another 3 months. They will not refund your money. Nope, Nada.

  • My instinct is to look up the website first.  I can't think that any buyer would use this website to find an agent.  I looked up my county and they have all kinds of labels for cities including duplicates that use abbreviations.  They have the Akron Beacon Journal, a newspaper, Allstate Insurance, and Chapel Hill Mall as locations.  My Summit County (Akron) Ohio area has 3 agents listed.  Two are in West Virginia and one is in southern Ohio.  None could cover my area.  That is worse than having no agents listed at all.  Then if you search straight for Akron Ohio, there are still only 3 agents but they are all in the correct market.

I also like to see how they pop up in a search engine.  This site does not show up on the first Google page.

    • I should have known better. Then I totally forgot about the thing until I checked my bank account and saw the auto renewal too late. They are adamant about not refunding. aaarggh.
