  • Don't put a lot of faith in the certifications. It's not what you have besides your name that matters, but how you apply what you have learned while getting those little letters! Remember that those cert's may open a door, but it will not keep the door open if you do not produce results.

    I am currently working with 2 banks, one local and one national. Neither asked me about any cert's I may have had, they wanted to know my marketing plan and how I was going to get the properties sold.

      I am working with several banks and even more asset management companies myself
      and they haven't asked for any certifications, either. Even though I have picked up a
      few certifications along the way.

      I was just trying to get a feel from people, with certifications, how they felt about them.
      Whether they feel being certified got them more business, which one improved their
      processes, which one had the most in depth training, etc.

      You are so right in saying, that it's how you plan to sell the properties that ultimately counts.....

  • went to the 5 star in dallas last fall, got certified with res net and reo trans, i feel it did not make any difference to my assignments !
