I'd like to ask all the realtors that have attended conferences this year ( Palm Springs, Vegas, Dallas, etc) if they have made any connections or relationships from the conference(s) that lead to business??? If you did... can you elaborate on how??/ THANK YOU!!!!

I am attending my 2nd event this year by going to REO Expo and I went to REOMAC in Palm Springs. Last year I went to 2 events too and this year I will probably do 3 REO events 2 Client Specific Open Houses and 1 KW event.
Why go??? To make contacts and be seen by my clients. But you don't make the contacts sitting in the conferences. You will learn more about the biz, get some great ideas and ways to improve your REO biz
You make contacts from the people around you. The other agents you network with. You meet the people who know more than you and are willing to share what they learn. My best contacts have come from other agents I have met at small private events that happen during the conference.
If you want to be in this business for the long run I think you have to go to these events, REOMAC, Five Star, NRBA (not in yet but hopefully soon) and lender/client open houses.

This is a way that members can express positive or negative input as to time and expenses spent on these type activities, just like signing up for the "pay sites". If it generates cash flow and exposure then thats great! But at the same time we all have to feel secure that it is money well spent.
