Hi,

Below is a email I received from Vendor Operations. Help, can somebody give me a clue to who  internal Fannie Mae representative is and or contacts? I am guessing is direct from Fannie. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you for contacting eSourcing.  Completing the registration process through Frictionless SRM (SAP) is not an approval process.  It notifies Fannie Mae that you are interested in becoming a vendor.  The on boarding process is initiated when an internal Fannie Mae Business Representative contacts a vendor directly as a result of a need in a specific coverage area.  If a vendor successfully completes the on boarding process, the vendor is issued a Fannie Mae vendor identification number that begins with the letters TR.  Currently, you do not have a Fannie Mae vendor identification number.

Sincerely,

Vendor Operations

  • I've had this for over a year now Lou. My best suggestion is to get busy applying to the outsourcers and go to every meeting you can where Fannie Mae may attend. That's your best hope of finding that Master Listing agreement to get your profile activated.
    • Susan, Mike, Thank you for your advice. The good news is I have applied to Fannie Mae Outsourcers, they contacted me back to let me know they had reviewed my application and possibly use my services when and if inventory goes up. I will keep my fingers crossed. I suppose the reason is I have REO sales (experienced). I had a good account with First Federal Bank Of California, unfortunately FDIC took them over (12/09) and OneWest Bank,FSB bought the bank from FDIC. I lost the account (7/10). OneWest cut all there realtors by half nationwide (so I was told), sad to say FFB realtors were not needed. This taught me not to be dependent on one account the hard way. Mike you mentioned it took you 3 or 4 years to get selected to be direct (congratulations), did you wait for them to contact you or did you attend expo's, Five star etc and contact your Fannie Mae business Rep on your own. One thing I will do right away is contact the outsourcers to let them know I have registered with SRM (SAP). Thank you in advance for your help.
      • Lou, Unfortunately, it came down to waiting. My attendance at conferences/expos did not help. You can't contact a Fannie Mae Rep because they keep changing. I don't want to mislead you into thinking that you are any closer than having your application on file, with Fannie.
The advice that I can offer is:
        (1) Keep your application updated, this you can do with the SAP program
        (2) Keep trying to get in with the outsourcers for Fannie so that you can.familiarize yourself with FNMA's guidelines, keywords and standard, this can be VERY HELPFUL, when it comes time for your FNMA interview.
        (3) Make FNMA one of many applications for REO business
        Good Luck,
        Mike L.
        • Any advice on preparing yourself for the interview?

  • Internal rep is direct Fannie. Frictionless SRM (SAP) is the system they use to handle the volume of applications.
    • Thanks, now all I have to do is contact a direct Fannie Mae Business representative LOL!!!!
      • Lou,
Once you have been selected to be a direct Broker with Fannie, a Fannie Mae Business Rep will be assigned to you, depending on which one is handling your service area, at that point in time. That is when you'll will be given the Master Listing Agreement, along with additional paperwork to get on boarded.
But, first things first, you've gotten thru the application process. It took me all of 3 or 4 years to get selected to be Direct. Hopefully, it won't take you as long but there is no short cut, it is all based on a business decision built on needs of the business.
Susan is right in saying, get busy applying to as many FNMA outsourcers (Green River, Keystone etc.) as possible, that way you can get familiar with FNMA's guidelines, keywords and standards and believe me there are MANY! This way you are sort of hand held through the process
        Good Luck,
        Mike L.
  • Lou, it appears you applied to be a Fannie Mae vendor at some time in the past, or you currently do Fannie sales through an outsourcer. Follow the links in the email to complete the registration process. This does not guarantee you will get work, only that you will be in their database. They receive a high volume of applications. Good Luck, wish you the best.
    • Thanks Billie, I recently applied. Correct this does not guarantee work. I am trying to figure out who internal Fannie Mae business representative is? Is it directly from Fannie Mae or is it Green River, Keystone etc. This way I know which way to go (apply). I did email vendor operations to ask, have not heard back from them yet.
