Email from REOTrans... and Not a Member.

Friday I got an email from REOTrans about a new BPO request in my area, so I said cool! But then I realized I had never signed up at REOTrans. I do not know where or how they got my info.I was going to sign up right then, but it was a typical Monday... err Friday, there was always something waiting, phones ringing and had to go check some properties and put out some yard sign on a new listing, so I never got around to signing up.Now the question remains, how and why?

  • Hello Steve,

I would like to recommend that you join the Aspen Grove agent network through Aspen iAgent™.

As an REO agent, iAgent™ can help you successfully manage your REO Property Portfolio using a completely web-based software. The annual fee for iAgent is $349.00 applicable at registration; however, unlike many of the other agent networks, iAgent comes with many additional features which can add benefit to your business.

As an iAgent user, you will be on a list of agents accessible to Aspen Grove’s REO and BPO clients. If a client is looking for an agent in your area you will be listed there and the client can choose you for REO/BPO work.

Aspen iListing is a free additional service for all iAgent users which applies to all properties listed in iAgent. You will get to directly market all your properties on www.aspenilisting.com FREE of charge. iListing is marketed to buyers via mailing lists, Google ads and web search optimization. Buyer’s agents can register on iListing and automatically submit offers on your properties and submit all of the pre-approval and required documents directly to you in iAgent.

You will be also listed on Aspen iListing when a buyer is looking for an agent. In other words you may receive buyer referrals on Aspen iListing for free.

    Some additional perks include:
    - First 20 properties added to the system are FREE
    - Receive credit for cancelled properties
    - A once and once only charge of just $14.95 per property

You can register online at https://www.aspeniagent.com/Registration/RegistrationSetup.aspx or for more information on the company, Aspen Grove, visit www.AspenGrove.net

    Regards,
    Aisling
  • I've only attempted to register with 2 BPO companies and neither used REOTrans. I went to their site to double check by trying to log in, then "forgot log-in", they had no record of me.

And I'm one who refuses to pay for leads or other types of services on speculation of a return. I will do the BPO's for free, but never pay for the hope of doing one.

After talking to Lowell in the NFSTI training last week, the best we could figure out is that it was a off-hand marketing effort to get people's attention just before their announcement of the release to on-line training.
  • I found out today that REOTrans has started offering on-line training (just announced this afternoon). The best I can figure is that this email was a round about way of marketing to get my interest started. Otherwise I have no idea. I don't do the BPO mills so I haven't signed up for anything related to them.
    • Steve- I got the same email of REOTrans training. Is it worth it?
      • Don't know, never got into the site. Others I have talked to said they only use it to for current business that came from another source or direct.
  • I might have an answer for you. There are a few other companies that use the REOTrans platform for some of their BPOs. If your signed up with these other companies directly on their sites, once in a while an order will come thru REOTrans. Even if your not a full fledged member, they might want you to complete their BPO on that platform due to the subject turning REO in many cases, which then they will assign it to you thru REOTrans, hence, their reasoning for requesting it through that site.
  • Not, my first conference will be the NFSTI next week in Atlanta. I'm puzzled.
  • Steve, I don't have the answer, but possibly they got your contact info from somewhere like redbook, or if you attended a 5 star or reomac. If you find out, we all would be interested.
