I just got an email saying Green River will require at our expense annual background checks. If they want it they should pay for it. We have until the end of May to comply. I have so many hands in my pockets it feels like an away game of pocket pool. Green River isn't the greatest source of business.
I got one really good listing last year. Everything since has been junk and/or online auction. I had to think hard about renewing E&O insurance this year. ($600) I only carry it for the one or 2 companies that require it. This year promises to have plenty of non-REO business. So I'll be thinking again.

GRC runs all their bpos through Realty Pilot. They pay low when they do pay. And their AM's are always trying to get you to change your values to look more favorable in the favor. Realty Pilot charges to use their system. So with the low pay from GRC, the headaches in dealing with their stupid just dragged off the street AM's and the monthly cost to have RP, I just said good bye to the both of them.

I got the same email. I have one asset that I am waiting on the listing with Green River. It is not a bad property. However, I agree with you, the agency and agents that I work with feel like we have paid out more referral fees, REO fees and other fees than we ever have. We have received more and more REO business over the last 18 months plus being the Fannie Mae broker for the area and we are just tired. It is a hard way to make a living in the Real Estate business.
I am with you Ed. I am tired of these asset management companies finding new ways to charge us fees all of the time. Then we have to use the old LPS Desktop and pay $5.00 to submit invoices to get repaid OUR money. Just say no to background checks. In order to maintain a broker's license we have to have a perfect background. That should be enough. Service Link requested background checks months ago and told them that I would not comply for the reasons stated above. I am still getting BPO orders from them. They do no pay enough for this abuse.
