I have seen posted in different discussions on this board, that Hedge Funds are gobbling up the inventory of REO assets, If that is the case, What are their plans?
1) Will they "REO to Rental" ?
2) Will they "Rehab and Resell" ?
3) Will they turn to some of the same AMC's and market as REO/former REO ?
4) split the larger portfolio and sell off in smaller parts (states/ regions) ?

I have heard that also but in my area of the country, local investors are gobbling up the REO assets mainly for rentals as there is a shortage of available rentals due to the increase in REOs.
Very few properties in East Texas are sold to people outside the area.
