I here and have experienced in my area soooo many complaints with the top REO agents. Not open on weekend, good luck getting a call back, and the only communication I have ever had trying to buy one of there properties was an email that your offer did not get accepted.... if that.

On a serious note, I do feel like this hurts the actual seller, I know I look at taking a buyer to one of there listings and frown. If so many people feel the same way, im sure the cycle of less activity, less money, ext, is self explanatory.

Dont they know we are hungry, and will work night and day for the opportunity lol. I have taken boats to islands for BPO's before, driven miles, and these guys cant even answer there phone.

Please note if you are doing a lot of business I know how crazy busy it gets, and how annoying agents can be, so dont take this a ratting on you... cuz i am some what guilty, have my own addendum, make people submit offers through our TazaREO thing ext. I just feel this is something more people on this site can re late to. I also will always answer my phone, and return calls, because as annoying as these agents can be, they are the ones who fuel our business.

Anyone else feel like venting about the fact being in the REO business seems to attrack the most annoying agents I have ever delt with lol. Thanks for reading.

  • Mirror, mirror on the wall, who else 's fault could this be? I don't know you and I think you meant this in a kinder way then it came out.... I found similar things to lament about long ago and decided to work harder & concentrate on myself. It paid off and many of the AM's I know dislike agent bashing.... "I'm just saying......"
& I do wish you best, best wishes!
    • Give the guy a break. He came on this board to share his frustrations with what he felt was a problem in his given field. It is not like he named a certain agent and set out to bash them. This is a members forum where we can come to share thoughts and ideas ranging from many topics. This is a forum where will can feel that we are not alone in certain things that happen to use in are field. It is nice to know that you are not the only one that might be experiencing a certain situation and know that you have the support of your follow peers. I am with the poster about their being a tendency for Realtors/Agents not to return calls, give out combo codes, show up to let your or your client in ext.... It is just frustrating that a lot of times you find out that these agents are from out of the area and therefore that is part of the problem why they cannot do certain task in a timely fashion. I mean if your an out of area agent it might take you 2-3 hours to drive to a listing that I might want to show my client. Now that agent might not be able to let me show that property, because they cannot get to it until a day or 2 later, in which case my client might move on. I know it is up to the AM companies to continue to operate like this and use those agents. I do feel that as a whole not only does the client suffer , but also the agent that might have had a buyer willing to purchase if only they could have gotten a hold of the listing agent.
      • I didn't realize that I hadn't "given him a break", or that one was needed.
Somehow I though the sharing of ideas meant everyone's, not just the ones who agree and vent??AM's read these blogs too and I thought I'd impart some first hand knowledge as well and I sincerely wish you both much success!
        • I'll take the well wishes where I can. :0) Hopefully we are continue to improve and succeed in our given markets.
  • The fact is I am sure the properties are being sold in a timely manor and if you had 300 lisings you may not return phone calls very well either. Until you walk in theie foot steps you just don't know. If you wanted an invite to the party you should have RSVP'd a few years ago.
    • Scott Rozier, I feel what you are saying, but having 300 listings is no excuse to not return calls in a timely fashion or even at all. If you as a business do not have things in place to handle 300 listings then maybe you should give them back. Yeah right I know I am dreaming. LOL. The point is that this is a business and just because you have 300 or more listings does not make it ok to let your customer service department suffer. Just my 2 cents.
      • From the perspective of the REO agent, customer service is not suffering if they keep their asset managers happy by completing tasks on time, selling the property in a timley matter etc. Its just a different perspective to think about. Having said that I do understand your frustration. I am guilty of sometimes not returning voice mail but I have made some changes. For example I now use YouMail's voise to text service so my assistant can monitor voice mails when im not available.
  • interesting concept, let me know if any AM's take you up on this.. would love to see this on tape-lol
  • If you think you have it bad you should try the short sale business...

I think we have it worse!!!
