Lamco to be or not to be?

I constantly receive information, emails and phone calls from Lamco, I was registered with them for over a year and never, ever received any communication, bpo or REO. They state it is a new reorganized concept. My question is, if they did not provide any sources for a year - (not for pride) and I have 15 years experience, CRS,GRI,Real Estate Instructor, NAR instructor, Mortgage Broker, Business Administrator, Broker/Associate, CDPE etc. and they were not able to provide a lead not even for a BPO, why now are they insisting so much to contact me with a $299.oo fee?I am not stating that they are good or not, I would like the input and the work experience you have had before I decide to sign up.Please be specific in your responses. Greatly appreciated

  • I worked with LAMCO prior to the paysite. I've personally visited them and met with a few of the asset managers and one of the owners. They do not have alot of assets in my area - Houston, and never have. I can say that they do not assign any assets accept through their new system. I will also say they are not a scam type organization. They are small in comparison to some of the large companies, so if you get assets or not depends on where you are located and the clients they are working with.
  • There seems to be a lot of companies like this/they sign realtor up for a fee and never provide anything/thanks you just saved me $199/jsu the promise of REO's
  • It could also be they have more businesses in certain states. Anyone in Florida with good results? Thank you all for your input. It was greatly appreciated
  • I signed up with Lamco in Jan 2008 and I never heard anything from them, not even a BPO order. Back then it was free to sign up. I just received an email invite this morning to sign up with them and was given a Code to input on the form. I'm not sure about this one.
  • Hi, I paid for their fee over the weekend with them on bpos..I wonder if you can ask someone there how active they are in your area? So far no reos, they seem to go to auction first..but I only take selected vendors bpos, and they are one of my two favorites.
  • If you weren't getting business from them beforehand, I don't know if I would bother. I was getting business - LOTS of it. They are the best supplier I have in my network. They are a little slow sometimes with getting you the listing, but I'm quite happy with them!
  • I watched a property here for six months through redemption, verified the owner had moved 1-1/2 months ago, they ordered rekey alnd secure..and have not heard back since. Another agent in my area says they go first to the auction, then if they do not sell, to me. The lockout and trash out guys told me I am on their orders as the listing agent, but no such thing has been communicated to me. I have now completed another bpo for them on a new property..waiting for response. I paid the fee, they pay their own utilities and trash out etc. I will not front that kind of money, so am hoping this works!
  • We did it 6 months ago. Did 8 BPOs and we got our first REO from them last week. We had also done 5 BPOs for them the 4 months before that when they were just LAMCO and had not started charging. Hope that helps.
