Thanks for the advice.... i keep looking for BPO's and they have seemed to slow down at the moment... I finally got an REO from RESNET.. which is comforting... but now this is just making me want more... Does anyone have any certifications that they found helpful? I am certified in the short sale area, but was looking at the various distressed property certifications. It seems as though there are so many companies out there asking for money..... i want to invest wisely..

The RDCPro Certification helped me get established with two companies. That's the only certification I recommend.
Did you pay the fee to use the new platform for USRES? Are you still using them and receiving REOs. I'm new in the business and I have been doing BPOs for about a year. Thanks
I have done many BPO's for over 2 years... around 200 or something BPO's and I have never received on REO from any of those companies. I have asked and asked and they tell me to be patient. ANother response is that I need to have experience selling REO's . OKay.. How can I get experience selling REO's if you wont give me the listings.... there must be an easier way ,,, i don't think people that do reo's want to share their secrets...
here is the secret, be persistant, I do close to 1000 bpos a year. go to conference, network with other realtors and have a good reserve to pay for property preservation, utilites, cash for keys, etc when you get your first chance,
Also it would help if you take some classes so when you get your first reo you know what to do.
There is really no secret, but reo listings are not handouts, it takes time, patience and perseverance, and you have to go get them because they wont come to you.

I did many REO listings in the 2008-2012 but it seems that these companies have so few know that they go through other companies for them.
