NABPOP certification

Has anyone joined this group & found an increase in business?  I found their banner ad on FAS & went to the site.  I had researched this group a while back, but decided to wait.  Like everyone, I am trying to make educated decisions on what will be of the most benefit for future business.  I discovered that  some of these groups' education is very basic & that you are really just paying to be placed on a roster.   If I am going to take the time to go thru the process, it would be great to learn some new techniques or tips that would hopefully give me an edge over my competition.  I have not had any asset company or BPO mill requesting their designation.  And so far, I have not had a need to add any more BPO mills to my data base. Just curious about other agent's experiences with this group prior to making the leap.  Thanks

  • The NABPOP is the National Association of Broker Price Opinion Professionals. They give you training on BPO's, certify you and give you links and lists to banks and mortgage companies that would requre your services. My question is has anyone gone through this training and has it been satisfying and paid off?

  • I joined several months ago and yes, my BPO business did increase with eMortgageLogic,Equi-trax and FASInc- last month I did a record 57 BPO's, my highest yet!
    • Cindy, You found it a good benefit to pay for the FASinc website? Have you had any luck with listings? I noticed on their site that they charge $100 for BPOs only and $200 if you want both REO and BPO opportunities.
    • Hi Cindy
      Where are you located?
  • I did the certification last year. My membership expired already, and I never got any business out of it. Their training is very intense! That is for sure. It took me a lot to pass the test! In my opinion is good for educational purpose.
    • Hi Veronica, can you explain a little about the classes, the tests.  Are there 4 tests? I  read this in their website

    • Thanks for the comment. I just did the certification for Old Republic & found that 18 hrs of computer class & passing multiple test & final exams a bit intense, but very informative.
