Recieved the email yesterday from OneWest (formerly Indymac) indicating that they are ready to start placing brokers in in-active status and that it will be based on performance. Any thoughts as to when it will start taking effect? Anyone here who recieved "inactive" status lately? I got a proeprty assigned to me through them 2 weeks ago and once i recieved it i was told it was re-assigned from another broker? Did they officially start the program of placing brokers on inactive lists? Your thoughts are always appreciated.

thank you

  • I am looking to get into this company, I have done the application, and only have a vendor code. I have not been approved. Anyone have any thoughts. Feel free to email me directly.

  • I received this email as well... I currently have 2 pending property assignments through them. They have been a very solid and steady client. I also received an email of the notice concerning property marketing time to be 72 hrs on MLS. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
    • So, you guys mention that OneWest is recruiting additional REO agents. I tried getting to their site but is says that they are not recruiting... Am I missing something?
      • They arent recruiting. They are approving existing applications in their system.

If you are attempting to submit an application now I don't think its possible.
  • I would just like to be one of their brokers...
  • I got this notification too on Friday. I am waiting to see what happens. Would not like to be put on inactive. I work these listing like regular sales and get them sold in record time if they are listed correctly. Will keep you all informed on my status
  • I received the email also. I am newly approved with One West and received a new listing but it wasn't reassigned. I am not positive because I don't have experience but in the training it seemed they were pretty tough on the 120 day listing period. After 120 days the property is reassigned if not in contract.

On several forums it seems a lot of agents have been approved lately and are getting re-assignments. Maybe they are weeding out bad agents and trying new ones?

I am curious about your questions also. I don't have any answers.
    • I've been hearing they are opening up for new agents too. My application has been pending FOREVER. I just sent in a follow-up e-mail to see where I was in the approval process (fingers crossed).

From other forums that I am a member of it seem if they are trimming the fat by letting go the unproductive agents and the ones that may not have taken the default school coursework.

Let's see how things pan out.
      • Mine has been pending forever also. Can you let me know where to sign up at for Bank West? I would like to re-apply also right away. Thanks for the help!
        • I sent them an email and it noted they are fully staffed with Agents, however, we know they have been accepting new agents in their networks for whatever reason. There is actually not an area on their site to re-apply as it notes the same thing on their site.

We will see - time will tell.
