OneWest Bank

I got the axe yesterday from OneWest.  The letter mentioned they are cutting back on agents because business isn't where it was a few years ago and they are switching over to their new system.  Anyone else get cut?

This really hits my wallet.

  • This is the first time I lost a Bank or AMC. I have sold 100% of my listings most within days of being on the market, great rapport with AMs and even went above and beyond to save them money. This really sucks!
    • I loss the account in June, I was with First Federal Bank Of California, FDIC took over FFB sold to OneWest. What they told us they (OneWest) had over 30,000 agents nationwide (not sure if this number is true) and were letting half the agents go. Needless to say FFB reo agents were not needed. This really sucked!!!! Oh well just have to open new doors!!!
  • Same here first loss I started with them in 2005. I am beginning to think it has to do with your last name. Companies are diversifying.
  • Richard, Have they given a reason as to why they removed you from the network.. You can call one of your AM to see what your score was..
I know One west is a big account for many agents.
    • This one was about connections. I know because my friend is part of their network, never completes monthly reports on time, BPO's are off by as much as 10% at times, etc. I have sold every assignment ever received within 2% of my initial BPO, monthly reports always in on the 1st (even on weekends), had great rapport with the AM's, etc. Difference - He is friends with the VM, I am not (I was cut). The cuts had nothing to do with performance and everything with who you know (as is usually the case). Of 11 accounts - this is the first I have ever lost.... not a great feeling!
  • I know one of the realtor got it in southern california, are you in southern cali?
