  • Don't waste your money, register on sites using the internet. Start doing BPO's, sell other agents REO Listings to get your name in front of AM, check with local lenders to see who is selling their REO's. Good Luck! Use the business partner list supplied here.... DON'T call AM or send them lots of info they don't have time for it and it will go in trash.

Personally, I am of the opinion that purchasing a list of AM's isn't going to get you much simply because most of these people work from personal relationships and referrals, hence why it is so damn hard to break in, in the first place. For an industry that prides itself on relationship marketing, it's almost silly to think any would really answer some form letter asking for thier business.....but, that is just my opinion.

My biggest concern about purchasing any list is just how reliable is the information you are getting. How could you ever verify that John Doe AM at XYZ Bank is really a decision maker or, for that matter even works there. Granted, i don't think a data company is out selling useless information but, how can you ever verify the information is accurate?

For my money, that just isn't a great way to break in the business, if I were you, I would spend that money going to a conference where you can get one on one face time with decision makers or at the very least getting some education from one of our member supported sources on main page under, "Certifications, Designations and Professional Membership" category. I might also spend some time and money developing a relationship with an experienced REO agent in my area who, over time, might be willing to co-list with me or mentor me and, eventually give me a referral to a great AM. It has been my experience this is how the Default Real Estate Industry works. Sending out form letters to people on a list may be a waste of time, money and energy, something I wouldn't do personally, especially when I can do other things, like i have listed, which will get a bigger impact for less money.

I also suggest you read over my Top 8 blogs for new agents.....that might help you a lot as well.

Has anyone invested in REO Intelligence and, this late in the game, have you found it to lead to productive relationships?
