Hello everyone,I really hope that someone can help me with this. I'm in the process of submitting a short sale package to Wamu and have faxed them a generic 3rd party authorization to a couple of fax numbers only to find out after talking several reps that Wamu has its own author. form. I have dealt with them before but unfortunately I don't have the form you need. They should of sent you a blank one if when they told you that yours wasn't good enough. Just call them and ask for it as your losing valuable time.

Wow, believe it or not. After calling every possible numbers, speaking to a rep who promised to fax me a Third Party form but didn't do it, they accepted my generic 3rd party form.

Hello Eric, I actually sent over a third party authorization to WAMU now CHASE and was given this specific number for Third Party Authorizations only: 866-272-0040. The Short Sale Package will actually go to a different number. I hope this helps.

I have that number too and sent them a generic form which accepted by several banks. It's the specific form used by WAMU that they want. The first 4 rep never told me about it. Only the last one said so and told me that she ordered one to be sent to the owners by regular mail. She refused to email or fax a blank one to me. That alone costs me last week, another 5 days in the mail and at least 72 hours after faxing it back in.
