We are all exposed to powers greater than ourselves, our technology etc. In some areas they have tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tons of snow, floods, etc.

How do you deal with does issues when you have to turn in monthly reports, bpos, contracts, settlements etc.

Just last week Maryland was under several inches of snow, we have two blizzards on the same week, everything stopped, now public transportation, now plows, no schools, no parking, no safe roads. I had to turn in 25 bpos, 15 msr, etc. For 4 days of the week all I did was shovel snow to keep some of my street clean, and I was stock at home. Thank God a local agent started a company called BPOREOPIX they go and take bpo pictures for a good fee. All of my vendors understood my problem and they gave me to Monday to turn in all the bpos, 20 exteriors and 5 interiors. I hire BPOREOPIX to do  16 of the exteriors and I did the rest. the pictures were good quality, on time, and they saved me proximately 16 to 20 hours of work.

I don't like to endorse other people's business, but they do a great job, I know they are in several states if you ever need them hire them, I strongly recommend them.

  • Thanks Jose, sorry about all that snow. Here in Connecticut it could snow 12 inches and the roads would be clear the next day, we're just used to it. Interesting about the BPOREOPIX company, maybe I should start one here, heck my agents are driving all around anyway, what's a few more photos?
    • One of the owners of the bporeopix is an reo agent in Maryland we used to work in the same office at one point, I was one of his first clients, the last time I talk to him, he is thinking about retiring from reo listings and just do pictures, he said is less stressful and good money.

I have an agent photographer in my staff, but I still use bporeopix for pictures that are too far, or when my agent adn I are overwhelm, or when she was in vacation in the Caribbean when we are getting so much snow in Maryland.

You would provably laugh at us here in Maryland when we see snow, if there is one flurry everybody slows down on the road, if we have less than one inch, schools have a 2 hour delay over 1 inch everything stops, over one foot the entire area shuts down for the entire week.
  • Well my hats off to you Jose, I think most of us would have a hard time with that load if conditions were perfect. I hope your AM's appreciate you hard work and diligence under those conditions. However the world will go on if you let a few of the BPO’s slide by and you enjoy a snow day or two.
    • well not everything was just work, I took breaks shoveling the snow to have snowball fights with my kids, and also do other fun outdoor activities with them.
