Hello Everyone,For the past few months, I have been marketing preservation and rehabilitation services through out Florida. My company has been in the business since 1994 and we have been fortunate enough to partner with several large clients. However, I am having a difficult time moving the ball forward with anyone lately. My questions are largely for the realtors on the board. Are you responsible for securing property preservation and rehabilitation services for your listings? Does the bank or AMC typically dictate which vendors you can use?Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

  • Carlos got to this one faster than I could....um, Carlos....do you know the unwritten rule about allowing the host to write the first response....lol, just kiddin. I like you, you can write what you want when you want to, just make sure it always depicts me in a flattering light!

See, John Keitzer, us Realtors can be so vein and testy and unfortunately, as Carlos said, most banks allow us to make our own decisions when it comes to vendors so, you got to get in good with Realtors.

Now, I say that but, some exceptions do exist and yes, some Loss Mitt and Banks require thier agents to use their approved vendor list but, they don't always have vendors in every city / state so, it's mostly a Realtor decision. I would recommend social networking to the fullest! As you can see here, it sounds like REOPro may have already paid off for you.

Most importantly, use REOPro's blogs and forums as a way of getting involved in the community. Trust me, the involved you appear to be by offering yourself as a industry expert....business will start to come your way!

    P.S. Love ya Carlos

Had to reply to about 50-70 inquiries a night when I posted information about REOPro on the different REO groups I used to have to belong to.
  • Isn't networking awesome? You never know where your next business deal might come from....hopefully from REOPro!

  • For the most part the banks doesn't dictate which vendors the realtor's have to use (title/escrow being the exception). Most agents or teams have their own vendors they use. As a matter of fact that should be part of their resume when applying to become an REO broker
    • Carlos,

Thank you for the information. We have a strong presence in the northeast Florida market, but are focusing on expanding business through out Florida. As you say, most realtors have a vendor set up already and are, hopefully for their business, very satisfied with the service they receive. If anyone finds themselves in a situation where their current vendor is unable to perform or needs assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know...
