Regarding those comments I made "huge disservice" and "extremely unprofessional", I encourage you to ask ANY web designer what THEY think of titling an entire WEBSITE "Home Page", and also NOT putting social media share buttons on sites.  I next challenge you to actually show me a CDPE advanced site that has actually been customized to the extent that I showed you ours are.  Again, their program lacks MANY of the things I noted below that ours has.  No mud slinging required, just basic facts.

Hey Mike,
Brief response, because I'm not financially involved in the outcome like you are.

  1. CDPE Advanced Marketing program is a complete program, of which the site is only one of those features. Repeat of what I said before.
  2. The CDPE site starts out with a template, as does yours, but is also 100% customizable. The fact that many agents don't customize it doesn't mean it can't be customized, because in fact, it can. If the agent doesn't customize, you're right it will display as duplicate content. But that's not a limitation of the site, it's a lack of effort on the part of the agent.
  3. There are great video tutorials breaking down the customization process to make it easy enough for everyone to do, even "technophobes."
  4. No social media buttons on the site? Not a big deal. My favorite way to drive visits to my site is by copying/pasting links to the reports into different social media platforms. That's very social to me. In which case, the abundance of reports then becomes an advantage. I'd love to have a large library of content, both for the site, as well as print and other media.
  5. Also, the other print media. The training webinars. The CDPE roster placement, the 12-week startup program, the super-active Advanced CDPE forums. As I started out the post, there's a lot of stuff beyond the site as well.

I know Vanessa. I know Marie. I know of Lee, though don't know him personally. That's great, and I applaud the effort to educate the industry, I really do. And your program may fit some people's budgets or personal preferences. But let's not be too inflammatory by saying it's "very unprofessional" and "a huge disservice." I just got done with an election season and have already experienced enough mud-slinging to last me a while.

Have an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Here is a flyer for our "basic sites" -

I could name MANY other site features our customizable websites have that are lacking, but don't have time.  If you are interested in more info, visit http://www.shortsalehosting.com or join one of our live demonstration webinars - http://members.theshortsaleguide.com/?page_id=321

And for agents wanting US to completely customize your site AND do all the marketing for you, we offer many customization packages and a la carte services as well - http://members.theshortsaleguide.com/?page_id=2577

Hi there Aaron! Let me answer and contradict a few things.

Your "several dozen" reports are actually hurting lead conversion.  Ask ANY web developer, a reader shouldn't have more than 5-6 choices on any page.  Just a fact in web development.  Consumers don't want or NEED that many reports, 80% of which are not relevant to their specific situation anyway.  They just add a new one each month to string along agents, while hurting their lead conversion.

You refer to it as the "CDPE Advanced Marketing Program", yet it is a fact also that their sites make online marketing IMPOSSIBLE for many reasons which I will explain.  1.) The search engines view most of the "advanced" websites as SPAM and duplicate content, because there are in actuality just that.  100% generic. You'll find that a high percentage of the home pages have been DE-INDEXED by the search engines and don't show up on search results.  When they do show up, the website TITLE is "HomePage".  Extremely unprofessional and a HUGE disservice.  Check this link on google to see for yourself.  2.) There are no social networking "share" buttons on the sites.  This is just pathetic in the 21st century that people are paying for websites that can't be shared on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google + ect, but this fact also explains why none of the sites are anywhere high on the search engines.

As far as your webinars go, CDPE can't touch our Short Sale Mastermind Agent webinars with many of the top agents, coaches and trainers in the country.  Tomorrow we have Lee Honish, somebody whose name is more regarded among REAL short sale experts than Mr. Charfin himself.  December we have Marie Chung (the #1 agent in the entire state of California) along with Vanessa Liddell (a former CDPE trainer who trained over 8,000 CDPE's).  We have that too.

Yes, we also have a VERY active forum at http://www.TheShortSaleGuide.com with over 12,000 short sale agents.

Here is what we have that CDPE advanced sites can't touch.

1.) Our sites are fully customizable (not a generic online business card you have).  Jesse's site is as basic as they come.  We have a staffed graphic designer to spruce them up.  Here are a couple to show you how versatile they are:

http://txshortsalecalculator.com/
http://www.stopping4closures.com/
http://portland-shortsale.com/

2.) Our sites are optimized for success on the search engines and do EXTREMELY well.  Check out a few yourself on Google with #1 results AUTOMATICALLY in highly competitive markets -
http://imshortsalespecialist.com/ - Ft. Lauderdale
http://sdavoidhomeforeclosure.com/ - Chula Vista
http://portland-shortsale.com/ - Portland

3.) We offer a complete video training course to teach you how to customize your site, optimize it for success on the search engines, AND drive massive amounts of traffic - members.theshortsaleguide.com/?page_id=332

CDPE is great for training, perhaps the best in the industry.  They are NOT good at lead generation.  The Short Sale Specialist Network is #1 in the industry in both lead generation and search engine optimization.  Its what we do, and we have generated tens of thousands of short sale leads online and directly closed several thousand deals.

Aaron, for the many reasons I mentioned above (and others I can't fit in under 4000 characters), your site IS broke.  Ask a any web developer or SEO expert.  I hope you decide to fix it.

I'm an Advanced CDPE, and one of the many benefits I get for $99/mo is a CDPE Advanced site. Which, compared to the example mentioned below and others on the company site. The "Short Sale Lead Machine" (SSLM) one you mention is $59/mo. So for a savings of $40/mo, I would get almost no reports available on the SSLM compared to several dozen on the CDPE site, plus the graphics are inferior, and so is the design of the site (IMHO). I wouldn't get a new monthly marketing campaign every month that is also auto-integrated into my site, I wouldn't have access to the very active Advanced CDPE forums (which contain insights worth their weight in gold), I'd lose access to their Advanced CDPE webinars, and most concerning, I'd fall off the priority placement of CDPE's on the CDPE roster on their website. Oh, and an initial 12-week coaching program that helps you get a rapid start on integrating the marketing materials. Why would I give up all that just to save $40? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I much prefer the CDPE Advanced marketing program. Much more than a basic website. Just sayin..

If any of you have a CDPE advanced site, I want to strongly encourage you to switch at no cost to one of our Short Sale Lead Machine sites, which are a fraction of the monthly cost and FAR superior to them!  Here is one set up for Jesse Gonzalez, owner of REO PRO - http://www.NashvilleShortSaleRealtor.com.  Notice he is #1 for most search terms in his area on Google like Nashville short sale specialist, as are MOST of our agent websites! Visit http://www.ShortSaleHosting.com for complete details. Use discount code Get1Now

Took the class with Tony Martinez; awesome instructor.  Going to Momentum in Orlando next week & taking the new CIAS designation in Ft. Lauderdale in July.

Closed a $625,000 short sale as a result of a RE/MAX agent in CO referring to me because I have my CDPE. Received call from Chase w/approved home seller on phone 3 weeks ago to list property; found me on CDPE website.

Love their monthly calls; biggest tip this month from call; update our profiles.

Happy Home Selling,

I have had several banks specifically ask about CDPE when signing up with them. Several have contacted me telling me the bank gave my contact info to homeowners regarding listing the home for a SS. So, while they can't hire me, they do give my contact info after the bank and homeowner start talking about a SS.

As long as this keeps happening I will continue to renew my CDPE certification.
