REO Robin Hoods

I would love to have a blog going that talks about the GOOD GUYS in REO--here I'll start. . .

Raising my glass to servicers passing on cash offers in favor of OWNER OCCUPANCY!!! One of my favorite servicers is working towards an 80% owner occupancy in accepting offers. It is fantastic to be able to tell black and blue buyer's agents that their FHA buyers have a chance with these listings.

Three cheers for:
Agents who keep the lights on!

Property preservation companies who know that a DEADBOLT… Continue

I Pay for Listings--but it is not what you think!

There has always been a cost to become a preferred REO broker on a network--there should be.

If it was free to train and become a preferred broker with an REO network, then every Tom, Dick and can't save a buck to save their life agent would be on there. REO is EXPENSIVE! In any given month, I write checks for $20,000+ for utilities, sewer, garbage, repairs, contractors, rehab, signage, marketing and staff. There were months last year, in the winter, when with snow removal and winter power bill… Continue

Resume Submission

Well, it is a relaxing Sunday afternoon and, while I should be entering data in Quickbooks from this week's reimbursements, I find myself revamping my REO resume for submission.

Every A.M. is looking for something different, I guess, but the hardest part about this resume is that it is always less about how well qualified I am for the job and more about how close in proximity I am to the job. Every website that asks for a portal asks for three main items: coverage areas, years experience, and r… Continue

Hi Pam,

I few in Friday night and took designation couses over the weekend. Jesse is right about the evening networking events being very important. I made a number of very good contacts and several AMs asked for my card and said they will be sending me assets. We'll have to see what happens. They asked me, I didn't offer it to them (a good sign) It was definitely a worthwhile trip.

I'm still trying to figure out if I can get caught up in time to go to REOMAC next month. I wish they weren't so close together. We are very busy.

Thanks for the contact.

Regards,

Clay
