Corrections, corrections, CORRECTIONS!!!!

I have read many blogs addressing complaints about BPO companies; BPO companies that don't pay, BPO companies and their low fees, etc but I don't think I have read one about corrections. I really think we should all share our "corrections experiences" simply because corrections are the spice to this stressful BPO business, don't you agree? Corrections make us cry, scream, curse and very often LAUGH.

I will begin by sharing my latest funniest experience and will post some more along the way:

On aerial view I can see that there is a detached structure on the rear east side of the subject. Can you determine what the structure is, check aerial view on all comparables and make the appropriate adjustments?

Really?

  • Its the smart thing to do, I have been border line suspended a few times...its my nature to fight for I believe.

  • I have cheat sheets for each BPO mills with notes about the type of comments they are looking for. Some want descriptive stuff like "newer interior paint, roof replaced in 2005", some want just a narrative of what makes the comp superior/inferior/equal. I find that the more I argue with QC, the more stress I create for myself. If they want me to change something, I'll do it and be done with it. Like orders where the property GLA, lot size, age etc. was provided by the client and it doesn't match the tax records - I use the clients data and note that tax records show different data and attach the tax sheet. Done.

  • There you go Sam! No cows! You may resubmit your correction now or is it too late? LOL

  • In Miami people love to strike a pose on the photos, I have been asked to remove the photo of the comp and go take my own...yeah right! On my way, be right back!! Thank God for Google Maps!!!

  • I really like the one about moving the animals out of the front yard. I imagine that would work real well on a drive-by. lol

  • On the questionable fair housing remarks. They had me remove all remarks in regard to the condition of the neighborhood. She said she would rather have no description of the area as it could reflect negatively on the residents in the area. I could put in the condition of the subject and each comp. but nothing about the neighborhood other than how many REO's there have been or are on the market now. I would never have thought stating a property as having deferred maintenance would be a descriminating factor but what do I know. I have been in RE for 33 years and spent 3 years training others in fair housing and monitoring their ads. I guess you learn something new every day.

  • Oh my God! I have tears running down my face, never noticed you can add photos, TOO TOO FUNNY!!!

  • I have had to drive down a gravel lane, dead end and when taking adjacent properties of it, had a guy chase us for 5 miles before my partner told me they dropped off.  It's scary out there.  I never go alone, especially since I have many rural, remote, scary properties.

  • Lavina I don't think those comments in any way violate fair housing. Let us know how they ask you to resolve it.

There is no address confirmation of the property.

Ans: No mailbox, no curb id, it burned down with the rest of the house.
