  • Hey Julie & Debra,
I'm still "encouraging the listing agent to work hard to find a negotiator to talk to. At this point I have offered to help even though I'm the Buyer's Agent.
He tried to get in touch with Cindy,.... Debra. Her voice mail box is full which seems to be the problem when you find someone that is good to work with. I'll keep trying and I am still open to any other input or ideas.
    Thanks!
  • Today I received approval on a WAMU short sale that has been in process since October. I believe Debra's suggestion would have been most helpful in the early stages and we could have avoided 2 months of no response and lost buyers.....luckily, we have a qualified buyer and a written approval. The negotiator who finally took the ball and ran with it was excellent, once he became involved. Now if we can just get it closed on time.......
  • Hi Debra,

Thank you so very much. I'll see if that will get us through the wall!

    David

  • Thanks Anton. Since I am not the listing agent, I am not part of the process in approaching WaMu. Do you have any contact names I could pass on to him that would help get through the wall?
  • I have done one with WAMU and we were able to get it done in 27 days. The first buyer walked because they got tired of waiting, but we had a second buyer that stepped right in behind them. The secret to short sale success is mutiple buyers. lol.
  • Hey Billy, That's what I am afraid of. I'm working with the Buyers and I'm not sure they are going to hang in there long enough to get through the "system" at WaMu.
  • Hi David. One of my agent just called me yesterday and told me his buyers decided cancel escrow to purchase a new home from a builder. The buyers had waited 2 months for the short sale approval from WaMu and the listing agent still have no answer from the rep.
