Who Handles BofA REO Listings

I heard from another Asset management company that they switched or switching their providers. I know they are doing their Short sales thru Equator. Equator is just platform right? or not? They dont hanble REO/short sales/BPOs. I am not sure If I am correct. I used to pay extra for the zip codes, but I stopped because I was not getting anything

  • we must have Equator to handle their properties in the Memphis area.
  • If you do a short sale, you must have an access to equator, especially SS for BofA , GMAC and other big players. It's free and you don't have to pay for any zps. With equator it becoming better and better on the SS process, but again this is a platform only, I've heard agents were getting business from it, but not me. I'm using it only because of my SS and REO files.
  • Everyone but me. LOL. Seriously, I have only had 2 B of A listings for outsourcers this year. LOL

Steve is correct B of A is a huge convoluted mix of lender direct and outsourcers.

Short sales are done through Equator.

BPOs are done through many different Valuation Companies.
  • BoA uses several different vendors and a mix of in-house asset managers with 3rd party property managers. Vendors and methods vary from office to office and divisions. There is no one-source for their listings. And this onfo is kept private to prevent being overwhelmed with calls from agents trying to get in the door.

And usually the only way to get in the door is to get a direct referral from someone who has the proper contacts for your area....and IF they are looking for additional agents. Even if you are working for BoA, it's very difficult to get "introduced" to A/M's in other offices who may be working assets in your area.
